Testing and submission deadline for supporting documents

Candidates who have completed the application process by this date will be considered in the first round of decisions. Admission decisions are made by the Director of Admissions, Director of Education, Admissions Coordinator, and faculty members. 

March 7
Shadow Day deadline

By this date, all invited students must have completed their Shadow Day. Shadow Days allow prospective students to experience a typical day at Community Prep. Participation in a Shadow Day is an important part of the admissions process and helps both the applicant and the school determine if Community Prep is the right fit.

Admission decisions will be released on an ongoing basis as applications are reviewed.

Families who met the February 14 deadline will be notified of their admission status. The possible outcomes are:

Accepted ─ The Student Selection Committee determines that the applicant is a good fit for Community Prep. The applicant will be offered a spot and a financial aid package if applicable.

Not Accepted ─ The Admission Committee concludes that the applicant is not a suitable match for Community Prep at this time.

Waitlisted ─ The applicant meets the admission criteria, but there are not enough available spaces. They will be placed in a waiting pool without a specific ranking.

April 18
Enrollment deadline

Applicants must respond and complete their enrollment within two weeks of receiving their decision notification. If spaces remain available after the enrollment deadline, the Student Selection Committee will continue to review applicants on a rolling basis. This includes reconsidering waitlisted applicants and evaluating new applications.

May 16
2025-2026 admission cycle ends

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year will not be accepted past this date.

All candidates notified

All candidates will be notified of their admission decision by this date. If a space becomes available before the start of the new school year, the Student Selection Committee will review all students on the waitlist, along with any new applicants.

September 2
Applications open for 2026-2027

If no spaces open up before the start of the school year, waitlisted applicants are encouraged to reapply for the 2026-2027 school year. The application process for reapplicants is the same as for first-time applicants.
