Submit your application form through MyCP. A checklist will be provided for any additional required documents.

Testing and submission deadline for supporting documents
Candidates who have completed the application process by this date will be considered in the first round of decisions. Admission decisions are made by the Admissions Committee.

Admissions decision notification
Applicants will receive notification of their admissions decision, whether they are accepted, waitlisted, or denied, following review by the Admissions Committee.

Enrollment deadline
Applicants must respond and complete their enrollment by this date.
Admission decisions will be released to applicants who have completed the application process and submitted all required supporting documents. The possible outcomes are:
Accepted: The Admissions Committee determines that the applicant is a good fit for Community Prep. The applicant will be offered a spot and a financial aid package if applicable.
Not Accepted: The Admissions Committee concludes that the applicant is not a suitable match for Community Prep at this time.
Waitlisted: The applicant meets the admission criteria, but there are not enough available spaces. They will be placed in a waiting pool without a specific ranking.
Applications submitted after the deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis if there are spaces available in that grade level.
This includes reconsidering waitlisted applicants and evaluating new applications.
The application process gives us a chance to get to know your child, and your family a chance to get to know Community Prep.
Community Prep uses an online application system called MyCP. Families applying to Community Prep for the first time can create an account to begin the admissions process.
To get started, create your account and begin your application. Once you log in, select “Start” to complete the Application Form.
Select the reduced lunch option only if you are currently eligible for free and reduced-priced lunch.
Once your Application Form has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email. Your application checklist will then be available in MyCP.
A parent or guardian must complete, sign, and submit the online Authorization for Release of Information Form.
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that Community Prep receives all required applicant records.
A parent or guardian must submit requests for Teacher Recommendation Forms to the applicant’s teachers through MyCP. Teachers will complete and submit the forms directly to Community Prep.
Schedule a Star Test through MyCP.
Students will come to Community Prep to complete the admissions test on their scheduled test date.
Community Prep uses the Renaissance Star Reading and Star Math Assessments. These assessments must be completed at Community Prep; testing data from other schools cannot be accepted.
Contact Community Prep to schedule a Family Visit! During the visit, your family will take a brief tour, meet with a member of the Admissions Team, and have your child complete a writing sample. The visit is an opportunity for both your family and our team to get to know each other.
You may schedule your Family Visit any time after submitting the Application Form.
Follow your admissions progress by checking your application checklist in MyCP. The Admissions Team will also send email checklist notifications to keep you updated throughout the admissions process.
