We use Blackbaud Admissions software to guide families through the admissions process.

To apply, you will first create your online account.

Then, you will enter our admissions portal and choose the application form you need.

Parent completes the online Application Form and submits it to Community Preparatory School through our Blackbaud Admissions Portal along with the $30.00 application fee.

The application fee for free/reduced lunch eligible students is $10.00.

The Blackbaud Admissions Checklist opens inside the portal and shows the order of steps that will guide you through the admissions process.

Inside the checklist portal:
a. Parent signs and submits the online Authorization for Release of Information Form
Note: Parents are responsible for ensuring that Community Prep receives applicant records

b. Community Prep uses the signed Authorization for Release Form to request the applicant’s Official School Transcript, Attendance Records, and Standardized Test Scores from the applicant’s school.

c. Parent emails the Teacher Recommendation Form to the applicant’s teacher(s). The teacher completes the form and then emails it directly to Community Prep.

Once the application and forms are submitted, the admissions office will contact the testing dates. The applicant comes to Community Prep to take the admissions test on the scheduled test date.

We test using the Renaissance Star Reading and Star Math Assessments, which must be taken at Community Prep. Testing data from other schools may not be used.

The Admissions Office contacts the family to schedule an applicant visit to Community Prep. Before the applicant visits the school, we must have the applicant's records and teacher recommendations on file.

The applicant will shadow a Community Prep student during their visit.

You can follow your admissions progress by looking at your checklist. The Admissions Office will also send out email checklist notifications to keep you updated throughout each step of the admissions process.
