Spanish Teacher (Grades 4–8) | Part-Time with Full-Time Opportunity

Community Preparatory School is seeking a Spanish teacher for a part-time position, with the option to become full-time.

Community Preparatory School serves culturally and economically diverse students who are well qualified to benefit from a rigorous academic education in an atmosphere of mutual respect. All faculty and staff are expected to fulfill their assigned duties in pursuit of the goal of having every student achieve academic and social success.

This position includes teaching Spanish to students in grades 4–8 over four days per week. The teacher will instruct seven homerooms, providing two Spanish lessons per homeroom each week for a total of 14 teaching blocks.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred)

• Fluency in Spanish

• Ability to use and integrate technology in the classroom


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans and instructional materials.

• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.

• Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and families regarding student progress and needs.

• Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments in alignment with the curriculum.

• Establish and maintain a warm, welcoming, and culturally responsive learning environment.

• Support school routines, including coverage for recess, lunch, and/or dismissal.

• Attend and participate in faculty meetings, school functions, and professional development activities during and after school hours as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
