PEACE POLES AND DRAWING CLUB WITH MS. LEE AND MISS ASHAN'TI

(The club will decide if they want to do one or both of these)

Grow Peace!
Design & Paint an 8’ tall wooden Peace Pole. We will install this outdoors to join the other peace poles!

ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, DRAW!
Draw whatever you want, with whatever you want! We will have colored pencils, fun markers, chalk, iPads, and more! Draw what you like! Fashion, a dog riding a bicycle, sports! You decide what to draw and the music playlist too!

CARD CLUB WITH MS. BENCH

Any game played with a deck of cards is possible in Card Club- Speed, Spoons, Uno, Phase 10, Monopoly Deal, Scrabble Go and more! Also, learn to play a new card game from expert 8th graders that’s all the rage: The Unplayable Game!

YOUNG ENGINEERS WITH MR. BRENDAN CORLEY

Every time we meet, you will have 45 minutes to invent a solution to a new problem. Use your creativity and critical thinking to invent an answer. There will be a new problem and limited tools to work with each time. This is an opportunity to challenge your mind, but your number one goal is to have fun! Each time you will have 3 levels of difficulty to choose from, but no matter what you only have 45 minutes to make it happen. Are you ready to invent a solution?

GAMES CLUB WITH MS. ROJEK

If you love playing board games or want to learn, this is the club for you. We will play pick-up sticks, Jacks, Monopoly, Chess, Rummy, Clue, etc. The possibilities are endless.

WHO WANTS TO BE A LAWYER? WITH MR. MCCONNELL

In this club, we will learn about and discuss topics such as: 1. The different roles that lawyers play in our society; 2. The various elements that go into the making of a lawsuit, including the discovery of facts of the case, how to examine and cross-examine a witness, and how to prepare a case for trial; and 3. The rights that we all have in this country as set forth in the Constitution’s Bill of Rights such as the First Amendment right of free speech and the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. Class discussion and participation will be encouraged.

NONTOXIC GAMING CLUB WITH MS. ALEXA

If you like video games ranging from Pacman to FIFA, this is the club for you. We will play age appropriate/nonviolent video games, and talk about streamers, your favorite clips, systems, and ways we can be nontoxic in the gaming community. GGs, hope to see you soon!

VETS' CLUB WITH MS. GUYON

If you love animals, then this is the club for you! In the past, we have had dogs, pigs, snakes, rabbits, lizards, parrots, rats, turtles, horses, goats, chinchillas, dogfish sharks, armadillos, hawks, an alligator, and many more. Who will visit the Vets’ Club this year? You will have to join to find out!

VINTAGE SCRAPBOOKING WITH MS. RASOMBATH

If you enjoy a peaceful and calm hobby, this is for you! Members will work to create their own scrapbook, creating vintage themed pieces. You will get to experience the satisfaction of learning how to use new tools and creating something!

LATIN DANCE WITH MS. DE JESÚS

You will be dancing merengue, bachata, and salsa! No dance experience is necessary. If you love listening to great music and feel like learning some new moves, join the Latin dance club!

SCIENCE FICTION WITH MR. GREENE

Part imagination, part hope, part interrogation of society, we’ll learn about science fiction in all its forms: Pop (think Star Wars), Hard (think Interstellar), Speculative (think Dune). We’ll consider sci-fi as a genre and how it’s used to inspire and entertain! The club starts with a discussion, then we watch some sci-fi curated by one of the biggest sci-fi fans you know, Mr. Greene.
