Community Prep’s boys and girls basketball teams have just wrapped up their participation in the 17th Annual Land of Fires Middle School Basketball Tournament, marking the end of their incredible seasons! Their practice and dedication paid off, with both teams earning spots in the tournament’s championship games earlier this March.
Our boys bravely faced San Miguel in their final game at Pennfield. Their performance was outstanding, with a final score of 44 to 25, securing their undefeated season! The girls played their final game at Rocky Hill against Kickemuit. Our girls gave their best effort, and their sportsmanship did not go unnoticed. With both teams putting up a tough fight, Community Prep placed second place scoring 12 to 37.
Our community is so proud that the hard work of both the players and coaches this season paid off! The athletes received great support from our school community, allowing them to flourish this season. This tournament was a great opportunity for our athletes to showcase their abilities, and we are grateful to Rocky Hill for hosting yet again. We are looking forward to next year to continue our teams’ growth.
Community Prep takes great pride in the accomplishments of our basketball teams and loves seeing our students succeed inside and outside of the classroom. The success that both teams had in the tournament is a testament to their hard work and dedication. Congratulations again to all the players, and thank you to the community for your continued support of our students!
